The Green Beauty Community Foundation is dedicated to making sustainable beauty the new standard. The GBCF is on a mission to transform the beauty industry by empowering brands, professionals, and consumers to embrace eco-friendly beauty products and support ethical practices.
The Green Pledge is a movement designed to unite salon and spa professionals, beauty brands, and industry leaders in taking real action toward sustainability. Participants commit to adopting greener practices–whether through waste reduction, energy conservation, or clean product choices. I was approached by The GBCF through my Instagram account, Alyssa on Climate, to create social media assets as part of the marketing toolkit for their campaign launching this Earth Month ( April 2025) in partnership with Green Spa Network. The social assets were designed to encourage beauty professionals to take the pledge, display their commitment, and inspire others to take the free course and take the pledge too.

Carousel post created to explain the importance, "the why", of taking the Green Pledge and to encourage other beauty industry professionals/salons to do so.

This carousel showcases more environmental statics related to the beauty industry. The first slide allows participants to input their photo to announce to their followers that they've recently taken the Green Pledge!







Several single-post templates and mockups were created for participants to insert their photos in their Green Pledge announcements. The bottom right is an option for professionals or salons who choose not to use one of their photos for their announcement
