The Ocean and Us advocates for healthy oceans across a wide range of important ocean issues including climate change, overfishing, pollution, and the emerging threat of deep-sea mining. I decided to join the team to help support The Ocean Hope Tour; a tour that Farah Obaidullah, the founder, will be taking soon from Alaska to Chile to get scientists, activists, non-profits, etc. to sign a declaration to put a stop to deep-sea mining before it begins.
As someone who's always been passionate about the ocean, I thought this was a great organization to get involved with and help spread the word about The Ocean Hope Tour's amazing mission!

This is the first carousel post I designed to summarize the topics that were covered in The Ocean and Us's February newsletter, including the launch of The Ocean Hope Tour. Here is the link to the live post on Instagram, I also wrote the copy for the post.

A concept for a carousel post that would be used to promote The Ocean Hope Tour. This concept went unused, but a team decision was made to conduct a refresh for the overall brand of The Ocean and Us. Below are three mood boards I created to help the team decide what the new look and feel should be.

The team ended up liking elements from boards two and three, so the next step was to create a board combining all of those elements into one and ensure everything still worked together.

The second and final iteration of the mood board.

Instagram carousel concept created based on the elements from the final mood board.
