Organization: SF Climate Week
Projects: Created sharable, branded templates with Canva to share with partnering organizations hosting events. Helped build out and kept brand guides up to date on Notion and Canva to ensure all SFCW designers and partners have the correct fonts, colors, etc. when creating promotional materials for the week's events. File and color-converted brand assets. Captured footage of events during SFCW for an Instagram Reel. Volunteered at various events during the week which included: greeting, directing attendees to events, cleaning up after events, and moving furniture out of the "volunteer hub", 9Zero at the end of the week.
Tech & Tools Used: Canva, Figma, Notion, Content Creation, Branding
San Francisco Climate Week is a series of events relating to all things climate and the environment held throughout San Francisco and across the Bay Area. SF Climate Week is the brainchild of Climatebase, the #1 platform for climate careers. The event's goals are to gather climate organizations, leaders, and all who are interested in climate to build community, create a space for learning, and inspire climate action and innovation. This was the second year of SFCW and it was already bigger than the last with 300+ events and over 18,500 attendees! SFCW is one of the largest climate gatherings on the West Coast.
Below are some banners I created - one for SFCW's Notion page and a LinkedIn banner for the general public to download and use on their profiles. The templates were recreated using Canva, based on designs the team made in Figma. By making these Canva templates, event partners could easily replace the filler text with the name of their events, and drop in a matching photo. Once created in Canva, the templates were uploaded to our Event Organizer Co-Branding Kit on Notion. As part of myself and three other volunteers being "Climate Influencers" for the week, an Instagram Reel I created recapping some of the events I attended is also below, along with some fun photos.
